Escort’s new Drive Smarter app is badly in need of an upgrade so I’d recommend using the MaxCam without the app while driving, but the radar detector itself is quite good, not to mention it’s typically available for purchase, unlike the Redline 360c. The MaxCam offers almost the same range, but with even better false alert filtering than the Redline. It costs $50 more than the Redline 360c, but it gives you an added dash camera which is a huge help while driving.
